I ran in the muddiest trail race (7.5 miles) I've ever run. I usually struggle to keep an overall 7:30 pace because of the hills (there are some that you need ropes and literaly have to climb) It so so deep and muddy that I ran an 8:04 pace. Sounds terrible but I ran 30 seconds slower per mile than last year and moved up from 124 to 64 overall out of 500.
