So much drama in the SLC…

Blog Category: Blog — Blogged by: Art on January 22, 2007 at 11:51 am

A lot of people I know are involved in all kinds of self inflicted drama. A lot of he said, she said BS.  Get it sorted out. It is ok to trust some people and let them be nice to you.

For some good drama.  My Mom had her CT scans last week and is now cancer free.  Thanks to everyone who sent their good energy her way it really helped and we are very gratefull.

So I have all this fitness in Jan.  which is pretty unusual for me.  The weird thing is I have about zero motivation to race right now.  I am stoked to ride and had an awesome time this weekend, but for whatever reason the thought of racing inspires a complete non-response on my part.  Maybe it will change by the time the real racing rolls around?  So no, there is not much of a chance of seeing me at Valley of the Sun or any of those other early season crash fests.  Not a knock against anyone doing them, just not for me.  Hell of the North?  Who knows and really who cares?  I am just gonna ride until the answer is clear.

Dude, if you take your fitness and start free riding, the possiblities are endless. Race as long as possible, reap all you can from it mentally and physically. Maybe take a break and rediscover what cycling is to you. I get to ride a fair bit, but not as much as I’d like to, needless to say when I do, the spheres are in conjunction-all is right in the world. At that point I think to my self, who can I share this with, as there is far too much for me to take in by myself. There is only a small handful out there that worship at this alter. Some of the best times I have ever had have been riding with you over the years. You are on it, do what feels good and don’t hose anyone in the process.
And I qoute “We just wanna be free, free to ride our bikes and not be hassled by the MAN……and we wanna get loaded”
We are in the same boat, we are both living the dream but sometimes lose sight of it, it’s easy to do.
Then again, I didn’t get one of the coolest toys of all time pilfered off my porch, I did however leave my rock-em-sock-em robots at Richids place when I moved out. tc
