Wake Up, Kick Ass, Repeat

Scattered

A lot of people I know are going or already gone somewhere right now.  Tommy Boy is gonna do the Rim Ride with 2 bottles(must be getting soft), The Olympian is in Napa running big miles, chewing gum and tasting wine, MJ is going to SoBe, Lip Ring is playin (with?) cowboys in Tex-ass.  That leaves me with no one to ride mountain bikes with.  Slohran is around but he is a little gun shy after the whoopin on the Shoreline the other day.  Clarkie got a road bike, but I can’t ride with him until he ditches the baggies and Camelback. I need to get the skills back, especially after the clinic Tommy Boy gave me the other day.  Oh well, it could be worse, I could be really OTB like Slohran.

I still have not ordered any parts for the road frame so I guess I will be lining up at the RMR on the Kona complete with Stan’s filled Armadillo’s.  Last year I actually started to enjoy racing out there and I am looking forward turning the pedals in anger again, heavy wheels and all.  We get our new SBO stuff this week.  I guess there is some kind of problem with the shorts.  I don’t care about that as long as my trailer is stocked with Evian, and fresh white roses.  Oh, and I better not find any brown M&M’s.

Speaking of scattered, anyone see Rocky on O’reilly last night?  Why?

Hey Art,
Nice blog. Sorry to hear about the new car. I have been reading for awhile and have found comfort in your mom’s success with her cancer. My mom just found out she has IIIC ovarian cancer about a month ago, had 95% removed and had her first chemo yesterday. She also got approved for a clinical trial that is using some new treatments. Hope all is well, casa wheeler is always here if you are in D town.

Gonna try to make it out to RMR again this weekend to watch the A/B flites … all I caught last week was about the last 10 minutes, so gonna try to get there earlier.

And remember. Riding bikes on the sidewalk is gay.

HI GDUB, SORRY ABOUT YOUR MOM. THEY DIDN’T GIVE ME MUCH OF A CHANCE EITHER AND IT IS STILL ONLY 50%. I WILL PRAY FOR YOUR MOM. I AM GOING TO SALT LAKE NEXT SAT. AND HOPE TO TRY MOUTAIN BIKING WITH ARTIE. SINCERLY, ARTIE’S MOM REALLY LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING HIM. I HOPE TO MAKE THE MOST OF EVERY DAY FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

Heya Art!

Long time, no see. If I hadn’t driven my mountain bike into my garage door I’d be up for a mountain bike ride with you. As it is I’ll just have to play hookie on some Wednesday afternoon and ride with you on the road, eh? I guess it’s time to find a new fork for my mountain bike if I’m ever going to ride it again. Got any spares lying around?

I’m so glad to hear your mom is doing so well and that she is coming to visit. Yea! My mom just had her biannual mammogram/slew of tests and all’s clear as well. She’s going on 8 years cancer free now - hooray for moms!
