How pathetic is Hillary Clinton? Fromm CNN.

PRESTONSBURG, Kentucky (CNN) – Hillary Clinton defended her reasoning for staying in the presidential race Monday afternoon by pointing out that Karl Rove’s analysis shows her to be the strongest candidate against John McCain in November.

“There has been a lot of analysis about which of us is stronger to win against Sen. McCain, and I believe I am the stronger candidate,” said Clinton, repeating a line from her stump speech.

Then she veered from her usual argument.

“Just today I found some curious support for that position when one of the TV networks released an analysis done by - of all people - Karl Rove, saying that I was the stronger candidate,” said Clinton. “Somebody go a hold of his analysis and there it is.”

Clinton was referring to electoral maps drawn up by Karl Rove’s consulting firm that were obtained by ABC and forecast her currently leading McCain in the electoral college by 53 votes (259-206), while Obama trails McCain by 17 (238-221)

270 electoral votes are needed to win November’s election.

Clinton continued to push for Florida and Michigan’s delegates to be seated but said that even if that happens, the race won’t be over.

“Once we include Florida and Michigan, neither Sen. Obama nor I will have enough delegates to get the nomination so there is no way that this is going to end any time soon because we’re going to keep fighting for the nomination.”

That’s right America’s favorite traitor Karl Rove thinks that Hillary would be a better match up against McCain. By better I think Rove means easier for McCain to beat, but that is probably just me. Nice work Hillbilly Hillary that is a good star to hitch your wagon to.

Pretty long video but if this does not inspire you then you are probably already dead. I have always been a guitar geek and I remember when he scored the David Lee Roth gig and I also remember when he left due to “an illness”. This was way before the interweb and it was only a few years ago that I learned the real story of Jason Becker

Making progress on the new casa. So much so that I actually rode 2 days in a row. Hit the Shoreline on Sat with Abby and up Big Mountain Sunday with Krafty. Hopefully this is the start of a trend.

I have a truck lined up for the weekend so I will sart moving all my junk over. Of course this means I will miss the Soldier Hollow race which is a bit of a bummer. I will be glad when I have all this house, grown up stuff done so I can get caught up on some much needed play and racing time.

Congrats to Turbo for winning the State Championships of Going Around and Around Real Fast Without Crashing (SCOGAAARFWC). You know I am jonesing to race when even a crit sounds like fun.

All future events will take place at a future date.

Waiting

Blog Category: Blog — Blogged by: Art on May 2, 2008 at 4:11 pm

waiting for a mission… getting softer; every minute I stay in this room, I get weaker, and every minute Charlie squats in the bush, he gets stronger. Each time I looked around, the walls moved in a little tighter.

I have been going back and forth about 5Mile pass this weekend. Pretty much every spare moment I have had in the last 6 weeks has been spent remodeling my rental house. I have done 1 ride in the last 3 weeks and my fitness and confidence is at an all time low. I don’t think I have ever been this unfit, ever. Today my mind may have been made up for me. A week on my knees (installing laminate flooring) has been eating away at my already suspect back. This morning I was barely able to get out of bed, sitting at the cube is agony. There is no way I could even lift my leg high enough to get on my bike today. I could probably ride though once I got on. Racing 5 Mile though, probably not especially since there is that damn hike a bike. Plus I still have more flooring and moulding to install.

On a more positive note the house is looking really good. To the untrained eye the work even looks professionally done. Still not sure if I will live ther or rent it. They both have their +’s and -’s. Maybe I will list my half of the duplex and the house for rent at the same time and see which one goes first. Better yet put them both on the market and see which one sells first. Any takers?

This about the sickest thing I have seen in a while. I wonder if Forrest dropped in on this while he was there?

Scott H Biram came to the 801 last night and it was a beer soaked, smoke filled, hillbilly hulabaloo. As far as I know it was his first visit to SLC and hot damn if he did not make the best of it. He is a self proclaimed “Dirty Old One Man Band” plays a brand of blues that is best experienced live. Not that his records are bad (go get one today), it is just that the man has a presence that needs to be experienced live.

Changes in Latitudes

My Caribbean adventure is over. To be honest I had pretty low expectations for this trip. The idea of being trapped on a boat for a week sounded like a week in hell. Still though it has been a long time since the whole family has been together and that was something to look forward to so I figured I would make the best of it. I shouldn’t have even worried. The boat was soooo relaxing. Both Rachel and slept better than we have in months. I was amazed at how relaxed I was and realized how much stress I have been carrying around lately. It all pretty much was left on the dock in Ft. Lauderdale. We stopped in St. Maarten and St. Thomas, both days were spent swimming in the ocean (Orient Beach and Magens Bay) and sipping cool drinks in the shade. I only checked my e-mail twice and did not talk on the phone once for 7 days straight. I had plans to get all kinds of work done, make some important business decisions, and run everyday. Somehow none of that seemed important and none of it got done (I did run twice and swam a little).

Now back to the real world.
