Harry Potter vs. Col. Kurtz

If I had a kid and he asked if he could go see a Harry Potter movie the conversation would go something like this:

“Dad can we go see Harry Potter: Curse of the Whiney Limey?”

“Son, go and cut yourself a switch, then we are watching Apocalypse Now”

“Again?”

A switch? Is that all it would take to discipline your hypothetical kid? What a wussy!

But then again, I heard a story that MJ road you into a bonk and had to save your can by force-feeding you a snickers. No wonder your kid would be a wuss.

If you had one, you’d take him to the show. You have no idea how captivating these Potter stories are to kids.

We saw the new one last Wed–preview, not midnight show. It was pretty good. Not like that pirate crap from Disney. Not a classic, but nevertheless good if you had to be there with the kids.

Now get out there and make a tougher kid.

I hate to admit it but my oldest loves Harry Potter, but I refuse to take him to the movies, I leave that duty to Mom and Grandma! Someone in the family has to still have balls.
