Things That Pissed Me Off In Cycling ‘07
- Floyd Landis: Yeah, he tested positive at a French Lab that probably could not find cocaine at a Lindsay Lohan party, was stripped of his title from that overhyped hunk of junk race in Europe, big deal. What pissed me off is while under investigation for doping he gets into Leadville and beats Snake. Not cool.
- Sprinters: These guys are the middle management of cycling. Sit back and do nothing while your team does all the work until the very end and take all the credit when they win and none of the blame when they lose. Try attacking and getting in (and working) a break you candy ass cry babies.
- Michael Ball/Rock Racing: Sells $300 dollar jeans (made presumably of the same denim my $24 jeans are) to Zoolander wannabe’s. Uses that $$$ to hire dope king Tyler Hamilton. Tyler freaking Hamilton! A dude so dirty that Tinkoff fired him.
- Zabriskie: Beat the holy living crap out of me mountainbiking this fall, uphill and downhill on a damn hardtail single speed! So not fair.
- Cannondale: I was totally happy to ride my Scalpel since it is the best XC bike ever made. So what do they do? Smart asses go and make it even better. Great now I have to go and sell a kidney (and my current bike) to get a new one.
- Gravity: Stupid gravity combined with a longboard and my poor balance sidelined me for most of the ‘07 season. But hey, I got a cool scar!
- UCI’s weak wishy washy stance on doping: Why can Zabel admit to doping and nothing happens? David Millar admits to doping and gets suspended. The UCI needs to grow a pair and start mandatory DNA testing (what are you hiding Bettini?), lifetime bans if you test positive and restitution for the money stolen by dopers. That or just forget about it and let them dope freely.
- Heras retires?: “I still don’t understand the code of ethics and why ProTour teams can’t hire a rider who like me has served his ban,” Heras said. “Other top riders will have to quit the peloton because they can’t find a team.” Are you kiding me? It is obvious you don’t understand or have any ethics you pile of crap. You and the other “top” riders were only on the top because you are doping lying cheaters. You did not retire you were thrown out on your needle marked ass.
