Dopers be gone

Blog Category: Blog — Blogged by: Art on April 30, 2007 at 12:04 pm

So Basso at least has enough class to pull himself out before his DNA test proves he is a doper. Tyler the liar got canned by Tinkoff. Tyler should have got the boot after the beat down he got in Georgia. No dope no results aye Tyler? I hope all those drug taking losers get lifetime bans.

Made the bike commute this morning after a week of slacking. Really why don’t I do this every day? Even though I don’t get paid like Team Rico it is still awesome. I am gonna ride the Scalpel all week in prep for 5 Mile Pass this weekend.

Assuming I don’t chicken out I will start the floor project tomorrow. I have to admit I am pretty intimidated by the project, but I do have a few back up plans if it gets all FUBAR. If anyone wants a ratty old couch I have one that will soon be at the dumpo so move quick. While we are on the subject I have a fridge that is looking for a home. The new one is being delivered 5/8 so if you need a good beer fridge for the garage drop a dime before then.

Train can’t climb

Blog Category: Blog — Blogged by: Art on April 28, 2007 at 8:32 pm

Today I went to the East Canyon Road race, one of my favs. It started out pretty fast, lots of dumb attacks that everyone chased. I just chilled and waited for the right move to develop. I saw it and I went. I guess I was not hydrated properly since I was fighting cramps before we even got to the turn around. WTF? Anyway I sat on and drank as much as I could and then would pull through when I was feeling spry knowing what was waiting. Sure enough as soon as the attacks started on the climb I was popped. Nothing to do but ride steady and hope I made it to the finish before the field caught me. Since I got dropped I don’t really know what happened at the front but I heard one of the dudes from the Senile Developmentally Challenged Team (the one sitting on the back with me I think) won. I limped in for 9th ahead of the field.

Since parking is such an issue for East Canyon, I have room in the Soob for another passenger or two and one bike. You must like (or tolerate) really loud metal and will have to agree (or pretend to agree) with my theories on the Illuminati. There will be a cooler of PBR waiting at the finish and you will get to hear first hand (and unpublished stories) about my storm door installation. First come first serve.

Last night a I lay in peaceful slumber someone (The Illuminati) entered my home and took everthing I own and replaced it all with exact replicas. Fiendish ghouls.

Projects

Blog Category: Blog — Blogged by: Art on April 26, 2007 at 3:26 pm

The last year has been pretty weird for me. I feel like I have been in a holding pattern trying to figure a lot of stuff out. Financially I took a big hit with the biz attempt and while it did hurt my bank account the lessons learned are invaluable. One thing that definetly suffered is my house. I have a lot of projects that have been piling up due to lack of funding and time. Now that I am working again the funding problem is solved and I can make some time for the actual work. The last two days (my weekend) I got a lot done. I built a shed for my back yard(from a kit), bought the paving stones for a patio, bought a new fridge, and installed a storm door. Yes there were power tool involved, very manly. Next week I am gonna tackle the floor project. My goal is when everything is said and done my house will look like an adult lives there. Welcome to my boss bachelor pad…

I cleaned out the 100’s of spam comments that I get on a daily basis today and I think I may have deleted some legit ones. Sorry if I deleted your comment.

Happy Earth Day

Blog Category: Blog — Blogged by: Art on April 22, 2007 at 9:34 am

To celebrate Earth Day I will be having a tire fire/bbq at my house later. Drive the Hummer over with some rain forest beef. I have a sweet storm drain on my street too, so if you have any used motor oil lying around we can dump it.

Last night I was riding home from the G Love show and some douche bags in daddies A6 decide it would be fun to fuck with me. These brave guys drive by and yell something dumb then speed away to the now red light half a block later. I am in a pretty foul mood as I roll up and they have the doors locked and the windows up. The light changes and as they roll away dude in the passenger seat throws a bottle and challenges me to pull over. They pull into the Smith’s parking lot on 5th and jump out of the car trying to look like East Bench bad asses. I am sprinting like Cipo at them screaming “3 on one? You better get some more cuz I wont even be warmed up after whoopin 3 asses.” Now they are sprinting like Carl Lewis for the store! YAAA.

There are enough people writing about what is shitty right now. Remember there is a lot of good stuff out there too.
